Looks good Kris. Yes, let's go with #3. I would like to see a version where we see the ground from where the tentacles come out and possibly have some light source coming out from beneath. Also, make the spaceship view at low angle (so that we see the full blast of the reactor). This will also make another source of light reflecting on the girl's helmet. Try to make the tentacles more present, overwhelming (get some octopus references).
