Hi Donald. Here is my progression so far. In this one, lighting and objects aren't refine yet. I have to play with it. The issues that I got with this piece is maybe the placement of each element that I'm not sure and the contrast. Also, I'm not sure about the wall on the left what is going to be. So, yeah.
Looking good Duy. This one source of filling light you have is great. Now make the strong rim light that the fire will create on books, chair and ghost. The ghost should have his head tilted down to make him more menacing. Boy should also have his head moved slightly in a different angle than the ghost and also on a different axes than the floorboards. Have the books bigger and make the pile uneven. Wasn't there supposed to be a carpet under the chair?

ReplyDeleteThx for the feedback Donald. Now that you mention the carpet, I did like a sort of rectangle on the floor with random detail, and I realised that when I integrated, it feels that there is so much going on. With all the motif on the carpet, it will maybe disturb the focal point which is the kid and the ghost. On the other hand, I was thinking that maybe the carpet help to lead the eye through the target and also fill the ground instead of only pile of wood. So, yeah. I was questioning a lot about it through the entire process. Even the wall in the corner. Its a double edge sword. But right now, still questioning myself for this.
ReplyDeleteI understand Duy, but right now let's try to focus on one thing at a time. That strong lighting from the fire will change the whole image.
